Your flower is a Gay Flower or Blazing Star. There are a couple of varieties. One is the Elegant Gay Flower. These flowers can be purple to pale lavender-pink. OK...do I win something??? Sandra, the flower wife
I was gonna say... I don't remember the name, but I/we (ha) collected it for my 3rd grade flower collection project. Yes, back when we took flowers from that park in way out in West Texas (shhh...). :-)
