Here we go again. It is always exciting to watch the antlers develop and see what changes the deer have each year.
You will notice that the deer on the right is a little ahead of the one on the left.
Here are pictured five of the "young guns". The only one I can identify is the deer on the close left. I call him double knotch because of the notches on the margin of his right ear. This will be his second set of antlers. It looks to me like the entire group is about the same age.
A little rain last week 1.3" and .3" yesterday made all the difference in the cactus flowers. They are in the peak of their flowering now. If you look at the ground below you can tell we need lots more rain.
Here we are outside of the Hotel at the Inn of the Mountain Gods in Mescalero, New Mexico located outside Ruidoso.
We found this to be a great place to have a nice relaxed weekend. There are some beautiful views. This one is looking out back towards the lake and golfcourse.
Golfers out doing their thing.
The clean mountain in the background is Sierra Blanco, I thought this was where Ski Apache was located, but thanks, Wesley for letting me know that Ski Apache is another mountain over to the right as you look at this picture.
I'm really getting in to this Grandpaw, Pappy, Pappa, or Daddo stuff. I decided to put in special pools just for the grandkids and of course Sandra, Lindsay, Greg, Lex, Kristi, Maisie, Boomer, and Ginobili. You will also notice that I've installed their very own floatie too. I can't wait to see them all splashing and having fun.
Here it is ..... proof..... you can barely see the tail of the racoon in this picture who is turning the spin plate to drop corn on the ground below. That's what I call teamwork.
