Bucks

You can see by this photograph that some of the bucks are ahead of others.

Black-bellied Whistling-duck (Dendrocygna autumnalis),

Here is a pair of Black Bellied Whistling-ducks with their ducklings as seen yesterday on one of the ranch tanks.

Who is that?

This is always a fun time of the year for me. I check these trail camera pictures and try to identify the different bucks. It is fun to watch the changes as they mature.

Early Morning

These bucks come in to feed during the cool of the early morning.

Does are heavy with fawns

It looks to be about time for these does. After a gestation period of about two hundred days the does start fawning usually in the month of June.

Pushing out antlers

It is always fun for me to watch the development of the different bucks' growth from year to year. These two are even showing some attitude.

Eagle Ford Shale

This is a set of tank batteries set up on the Orr lease which is located about two miles east of the Campbell Ranch on FM791. It looks like they have a compressor unit and tank for liquid gas.
