Another good deer taken...

Tall and wide, six on the right and four on the left side of this deer's rack.

First hunt of the year, success.

Hunter, Conrad, travels all the way from Washington State to get his South Texas deer.  He made a fine shot from about 250 yards.

Oat planting time...

The oats are in.  All we need now is some soaking rain.  The fall oats give the deer something green to eat when the cold weather sets in.
