We are due to get some good rains this week.  I hope so because the quail are paired up and beginning to nest.  It takes moisture to aid in hatching the eggs and also provide the lush growth that promotes bugs that are the main diet for newly hatched birds.

 Ella, my blood trailing Blackmouth Curr, is my constant ranch companion and gets in to whatever the activity of the moment is.  Here she has spotted a Bass swirl.

Here she is doing her best classic point.

We did have results... The Bass I stocked are growing nicely.

Later in the morning she has climbed the steps up a ten foot blind and is watching a sendero out the door.
