Sightings at a water trough

I put a camera at one of the troughs just to see what comes up.  What I found was lots of birds, racoons, and deer.  I will keep it up for a while to see if anything else interesting comes to get a drink.

This one looks like it isn't very old.

It will be about three more weeks until the bucks "scrape out" and become hard horned.

We've got some "chili" deer to hunt too....

These deer just don't make the grade and will be hunted as management deer.  They still would make a great bow hunt trophy, and the price will be right.

I see spots...

With the extremely dry conditions, I don't think the fawn crop will be much this year.  This one looks fine, but his / her mother is in excellent condition considering everything.  I hope we get rain soon.

About one more month in "velvet".
