Go Figure.........

The dates on these pictures are off. Sometimes when the batteries go down the camera reverts to 01-01-2000. You can see though that these pictures were taken two day apart so this cottontail rabbit has figured out how to jump into this feed trough. I guess the deer weren't dropping enough on the ground for it.

No broken tines yet.....

Here is my latest picture of "Ace". Even after the big fight I witnesses that he had with Bruto he hasen't broken any tines yet.

Racoon Circus

It looks like I'm going to have to either set the trap or move it. They are using it to climb up on the feed spouts.

Quail

This covey of quail came in to pick up some corn. Notice there always seems to be one watching out for the rest.

Here "28" is the next day. He looks like he will be alright. I checked my other bucks' pictures and couldn't tell which one he might have had a fight with.

Buck Fight?

This is a buck I call "28". I have him guessed at two years old and he has eight points. Check the time and the date.

Here he is about five hours later after having been in a fight. I'm guessing with one of the older bucks. That is my best guess. But, I guess he could have fought a predator too.

Mexican Standoff

It looks like this bird, probably a small owl, has decided that the downspouts on this feeder would make a warmer place for the night. The doe looks like she can't decide if she wants to get some feed or not.

Reflections of a sunset

The sunset Saturday evening was a pretty one. I got this picture at one of my favorite spots to watch the sun set.

Cruising the ranch...

Here we are out riding the roads. Kristi, Lex, and I were out with Ginobli, their dog, who is running ahead. Sandra was back home cooking a great Mexican feast.

Here is Ginobli checking out some old deer scent. The game cameras were taking our pictures at the different feeding stations. It was a hoot watching Ginobli run like the wind all over checking out the many different new smells and sights.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm ducks like peanuts too...

I didn't look up the name of these "ducks" but we commonly call them whistlers. They are munching on the peanut trash along with some corn I throw in line with the camera to get deer to pose for me.

This evening while I was out feeding deer and picking up discs out of my trail cameras I noticed that the sky was making up for a pretty sunset. So, I set up at one of my favorite spots to watch it and got these and other pictures.

Thanksgiving in the Upstate.

Kristi and Lex had Raymond and Mary, Clayton and Julie their "Aggie" neighbors, and Sandra and me for a wonderful Thanksgiving meal.
