Recent rains have made for a beautiful spring. I have friends who tell me that all that was needed was to get me out of the country. Before we left for Singapore, Sam asked me if there was anything he could do for me while I was gone. I told him to have all of my tanks filled with water when I returned.... and he did. Oliver Semmes said he brought it from Florida as it began raining about the time he and Julianne arrived.
This was the first cactus flower I saw this spring. Since I took this picture a couple of days ago others are beginning to open. Soon there will be countless flowers as the plants are loaded.
