Thanksgiving in the Upstate.

Kristi and Lex had Raymond and Mary, Clayton and Julie their "Aggie" neighbors, and Sandra and me for a wonderful Thanksgiving meal.
Clayton and Julie Ciomperlik.

The table is set...

Fried turkey, yum...

At the end of the day the whole Poth family relaxes.

Ginobli and Lex play "chase".

Ginobli sees how close he can get without Lex touching him.
Catch me if you can.

Too slow...

Another chance...

Not even close

Gino figures he has Lex worn out.

That was fun!

Ginobli the Retriver

Ginobli shows what a good job of retriving he can do.
Oops, it smells like it landed in a "muddy" spot.

Ginobli turns the ball over to see if there is a clean spot to pick it up. Nope, I'm not picking this thing up.

Everything likes peanuts

Javelinas like peanuts...
Greenjays like peanuts...

And .... so do coyotes.

Fishing Texas

Got that serious look on his face.

Saturday, November 10, 2007

Lex flies in to do some ranch "fun"...

Lex doing some serious fishing on a very windy day.
Here I am looking pretty serious too. It gets that way when you haven't caught more fish than your son in so long I can't remember.

Oops, who caught the fish?

Lex feeding the fish some catfish food. He really had them swirling the water.

Lex spots an alligator on the bank of a small pond.

Nice looking gator...

Yes, even a coyote showed up for some peanuts.

I look at about 200 pictures daily from my game cameras. Sometimes I get some really nice skies in the background.

The camera caught this owl watching a rabbit come in for something to eat.

This javelina decides to move on after having a peanut treat. I've been picking up peanut trash that is discarded locally and feeding it to the animals. There are lots of birds and animals that are enjoying the many peanuts that are in the trash that contains stems, hulls, and partial or whole peanuts.
